School Nurse (ed Nurse, RN)

HealthPRO Pediatrics has an immediate need for a full-time ed Nurse (RN) in Leonardtown, Maryland!

This is an exciting full-time, non-contract opportunity with a projected start date of September 14, 2026. We are actively seeking a compassionate and qualified RN ready to support students in a school-based setting.

Position Highlights:

Pay Range:

$48

        Responsibilities

        The primary purpose of the School Nurse position is health and wellness assessments of pediatric students in a school setting, with the goal of helping them reach their maximum performance potential within an educational model of practice.

        Responsibilities may vary based on the specific assignment and student needs and may include, but are not limited to:

        • Providing 1:1 nursing support to medically complex or medically fragile students
        • Monitoring students with chronic or acute health conditions
        • Administering medications and treatments
        • Conducting health assessments and monitoring changes in condition
        • Developing and following individualized care plans
        • Performing complex medical procedures when required
        • Responding to medical emergencies and providing first aid
        • Maintaining accurate health records and documentation
        • Collaborating with families, school staff, and healthcare providers
        • Supporting student health screenings and referrals
        • Promoting health and wellness within the school environment
          Qualifications
        • Must hold a current and active ed Nurse (RN) License in the state of Maryland. (CSN is not required)
        • Prior experience working in a school setting a plus, but not required.
