Job Description
As an Inpatient Registered Nurse at Fresenius Medical Care, you will deliver high-quality dialysis and acute care to hospitalized patients with chronic kidney disease. Working within the Healthcare & Medical Services department, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient-centered care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include managing dialysis treatments, monitoring patient responses, educating patients and families, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and adhering to strict safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities Provide inpatient dialysis treatments and nursing care to acute and chronic kidney disease patients Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans Administer medications and manage vascular access, monitoring patient response to treatment Collaborate with physicians, nephrologists, and the interdisciplinary team on care plans Educate patients and families on dialysis, medications, and self-care strategies Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical records and clinical documentation Ensure compliance with hospital, Fresenius, and regulatory (CMS, Joint Commission) standards Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, escalating care as needed Operate and troubleshoot dialysis machines and related equipment safely Participate in quality improvement, infection control, and ongoing clinical training programs Required Skills Inpatient dialysis nursing Acute care nursing Hemodialysis machine operation Vascular access management (fistula/graft/catheter) Medication administration and IV therapy Patient assessment and care planning EKG and vital signs monitoring Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation Infection prevention and control Regulatory compliance (CMS, Joint Commission)
