Unit Summary:
A team of over 200 associates form the Multidisciplinary and dynamic Emergency Department Team- Physicians, Physician Assistances, Registered Nurses, Patient Care Techs, Secretaries, Peer Recovery Coaches, Registrars, pharmacists, social workers, case managers etc. 36 beds and sees nearly 40,000 patients per year. Only hospital in all of Carroll County (population nearly 170,000) Cardiac Intervention Center and Primary Stroke Center

Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a member of the Nursing Dept. The RN has responsibility and accountability for the provision of nursing care. The RN manages care for patients and their families through the application of the nursing process utilizing independent judgment, collaboration and communication with all team members including ancillary and support services. The RN provides and delegates patient care activities based upon patient needs and team skills/abilities and supervises the delivery of care by team. The RN evaluates patient response to treatment and nursing interventions, and as needed, revised the plan of care. The RN monitors patient progress and prepares patient for discharge.Experience:

- Registered Nurse License
- Current Maryland license or eligibility to obtain Maryland license
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale
- Basic Life Support
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
Pediatric Advanced Life Support Credential Note:
NIHSS is required within 6 months, ACLS is required within 1 year, PALS is required within 18 monthsPay Range:
