Minimum 1 Year Required About the Role We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Operating Room (OR) Scrub/Circulator for a 13-week contract position in Calais, Maine. This role provides safe, effective, patient- and family-centered nursing care throughout the perioperative period. The OR RN must be able to scrub, circulate, and provide recovery room/PACU support as needed while collaborating effectively with the perioperative care team. Responsibilities Provide safe and effective nursing care to patients throughout the perioperative period. Perform both Operating Room circulating and scrub responsibilities during surgical procedures. Provide recovery room/PACU nursing support as needed. Collaborate and communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and other perioperative team members. Maintain accurate clinical documentation, patient confidentiality, and compliance with established surgical care standards. Requirements Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing Required. Active Maine Registered Nurse (RN) License Required. Minimum 1 Year of Medical/Surgical or Perioperative Experience Required. Current BLS/BCLS and PALS Certifications Required; ACLS Required for PACU Responsibilities and May Be Obtained Within 6 Months as Specified by the Facility. Basic Computer Skills Required; CNOR Certification Preferred. The Operating Room RN will support high-quality perioperative care through skilled scrub, circulating, and recovery room nursing services.
