Location Camden, Maine Employment Type Contract / Provider Work Arrangement Community / Field Based Schedule Live-in shared living arrangement in the provider's home. Benefits Eligibility Not Eligible Compensation Competitive tax-free stipend plus a monthly room and board payment from the individual. Job Overview Penquis is seeking a Shared Living Provider in Knox County to open their home and support an adult with a developmental disability in a family setting. This independent contractor role centers on creating a stable home environment while supporting day-to-day growth, inclusion, and independence. Responsibilities Provide a family-style home setting for an adult with a developmental disability. Support day-to-day activities, independent living skills, education, employment, and community inclusion. Serve as an active member of the individual's support team to help identify and achieve personal life goals. Requirements Successfully pass comprehensive background checks according to state regulations and policies. Rent or own your home or apartment and provide the individual with a separate bedroom. High school diploma or equivalent and a valid Maine driver's license in good standing with insured, reliable transportation. Basic phone and computer skills. Ability to read, write, and communicate proficiently. Current certifications or the ability to obtain required trainings and certifications, including DSP, CRMA, and First Aid/CPR. Additional Details Independent Contractor Role Shared Living Providers are independent contractors who earn a competitive tax-free stipend and receive a monthly room and board payment from the individual to help cover added household expenses.
