Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine (or compact state eligibility) Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred Strong clinical and assessment skills, especially for 1:1 nursing care Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families Current CPR/BLS certification

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver 1:1 nursing support for a student during school hours, addressing medical needs as outlined in their care plan Administer medications, monitor medical equipment, and respond calmly to emergencies Collaborate closely with educators, school administrators, and parents to maintain a safe, supportive environment Maintain accurate records of care provided and help facilitate student participation in educational activities Uphold confidentiality and adhere to all school policies and healthcare regulations
