Job Description

Central Maine Medical Center is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in our Healthcare & Medical Services department. The RN will perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications and treatments, coordinate care plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to promote optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities include patient and family education, accurate documentation, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and ongoing patient monitoring Administer medications, treatments, and perform clinical procedures per provider orders and protocols Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate safe, effective care Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge plans Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and quality care standards Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice changes Support a compassionate, respectful environment aligned with CMHC's mission and values Required Skills Patient assessment Medication administration IV therapy and venipuncture Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation Care planning and care coordination Wound care management Cardiac and vital sign monitoring Patient and family education Infection control practices Clinical critical thinking and triage
