Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. Duties Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Administer medications and injections accurately, including IV infusions and medication management, following aseptic techniques and safety protocols. Conduct specialized procedures such as suturing, catheterization, tube feeding, and ventilator management in accordance with established standards. Monitor critically ill patients in intensive care units (ICU), trauma centers, or emergency departments, providing acute pain management and responding to emergent situations with critical care response procedures. Coordinate patient care plans, discharge planning, and case management activities while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and documentation standards. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in diagnostic evaluations, laboratory specimen collection, and medical imaging procedures such as sonography or radiography. Maintain proficiency in EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation and coding (ICD-10/ICD-9/CPT). Support patients across various settings including geriatrics, pediatrics, neonatal units, hospice & palliative medicine, behavioral health, or long-term care facilities. Participate in infection control practices and adhere to OSHA standards to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Provide health coaching and education tailored to individual needs such as chronic disease management or post-operative care. Skills Extensive clinical experience in diverse settings such as hospital medicine, emergency medicine, ICU/trauma centers (Level I & II), outpatient clinics, or home care environments. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9) is essential. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology to support accurate patient assessments and interventions. Skilled in performing invasive procedures such as venipuncture, phlebotomy, sterile dressing changes, ostomy care, or spinal taps. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges; knowledge of memory care or dementia-specific protocols is preferred. Ability to manage complex cases involving trauma medicine, infectious disease care, occupational health issues (including Workers' Compensation law), or post-acute care transitions. Competence in critical care practices including ventilator management and neonatal resuscitation procedures; experience in PICU or NICU is advantageous. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams and patient education. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards coupled with meticulous medical documentation practices. Physical ability to perform demanding tasks such as patient lifting with Hoyer lifts or assisting with mobility aids like Hoyer lifts or Hoyer lifts.
