Qualifications & Experience:

Active RN license in the state of Maine Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations strongly preferred Current CPR certification Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergencies Detail-oriented with strong charting and documentation abilities

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct 1:1 nursing care for an assigned student every Thursday and Friday Monitor the students specific health needs and respond promptly to any medical concerns or emergencies Administer medications, manage medical equipment, and perform required health procedures as outlined in the individualized healthcare plan Maintain accurate daily records and communicate pertinent health information to school staff and families while respecting confidentiality Support the student in accessing classroom activities, ensuring safety and comfort throughout the school day Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and caregivers to develop strategies promoting student well-being This role offers a unique opportunity to build meaningful connections while enhancing your clinical skills in a supportive school community.
