Provide expert level of direct nursing care related to vascular access services (VAS), includes evaluation, pre/post venous access, device placement and monitoring. Provide vascular access care across all age populations. Support and comply with the Infusion Nurses Society (INS) standards of practice and maintain the quality of venous access care. Facilitate communication among members of the health care team; provide consultation and resource for all VAS customers. Active participation on committees within the department. ? Current license to practice nursing in the State of Michigan ? Three (3) or more years of recent RN nursing experience ? Must function independently in a collaborative environment ? Ability to assess appropriateness of vascular access devices and prioritize workload ? Two (2) or more years of current PIV insertion experience ? Proficiency with using ultrasound guidance for PIV insertion One (1) or more years of current PICC and Midline insertion
