1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and active MI licensure. Details 15-bed LDRP unit with 3 triage bays and 2 operating rooms Provides antepartum, labor and delivery, OR circulating, scrub nurse, newborn nurse at delivery, and couplet care Performs lab draws and hearing screens on newborns using the ALGO 5 machine Follows AWHONN staffing guidelines for patient ratios Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:30 Every other weekend requirement No on-call requirement Floats to the house as a sitter when needed Floats to Bronson Methodist Hospital (27 miles away) for L&D and mother-baby as census and need arise Uses Epic for documentation Requirements Active Michigan RN license required Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) Current NRP certification AWHONN Intermediate certification or
NCC C-EFM
certification required (only one of the two is required) AWHONN Advanced certification preferred Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required Circulating and FHM Triage skills required Scrub skills preferred Proof of flu vaccination required for consideration or exemption submitted within 48 hours of signing Additional Information Trained to complete newborn infant hearing screens using the ALGO 5 machine Travelers are prioritized to float first Scrubs are provided No RTO permitted during the first 8 days of the contract RTO limited to no more than 10 days for the remainder of the contract Previous Bronson internal travelers may return after 6 months Previous Bronson permanent staff may return after 1 year Local candidates accepted at the same rate with no radius restrictions First-time travelers are not considered for this position
