Job Description

The MDS Nurse is responsible for assisting with the accurate and timely completion of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI), including the Minimum Data Set (MDS), Care Area Assessments (CAAs), care planning and supporting documentation in accordance with federal and state regulations. This role ensures assessments reflect each resident's clinical status and supports individualized care planning. Experience:
Prior MDS/RAI experience strongly preferred Knowledge of RAI guidelines, PDPM, ICD-10 coding, Quality Measures, and Care Area Assessments and Care Planning processes. Knowledge of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process, including the principles of the Prospective Payment Process (PPS) and Case Mix systems strongly preferred. Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements. Demonstrated ability in independent functioning and strong leadership.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
RN with one year experience and excellent assessment skills preferred. Current CPR certification or CPR certification within 90 days of employment.
