Candidate Preferences:
Minimum of 1 year RN inpatient experience or New Grad with Paramedic/EMT/ED Tech experience. About the Hospital / DepartmentEmergency Unit at Genesys is a Trauma Level 111. This is a 47 bed unit with an additional 10 bed overflow. 2 dedicated trauma bays. This unit excels in stroke & cardiac care. Nestled in the scenic rolling hills of Grand Blanc, Genesys Hospital combines the charm of a small city with the amenities of a larger healthcare facility. Known for its acclaimed golf courses and as a host to an annual PGA Tour Champions event, Grand Blanc offers a high quality of life with top-rated schools and easy access to Flint, Detroit, and Northern Michigan. Role OverviewAs a Registered Nurse at Genesys Hospital, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, ensuring that each patient receives individualized, high-quality treatment. Your expertise and compassion will directly impact patient outcomes and experiences, making a meaningful difference in their lives.

What You Will DoCoordinate the development of a multidisciplinary plan of care to ensure appropriate length of stay, resource utilization, and quality outcomes.

Provide patient education and support, addressing fears and anxiety through effective communication and teaching.

Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and perform procedures such as dressing changes and blood glucose monitoring.

Monitor patient responses to interventions, recognizing and responding to acute changes in condition.

Collaborate with case managers to ensure seamless discharge planning and appropriate follow-up care. QualificationsWhat You Will NeedRequired QualificationsLicensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained within 2 months of hire date.

Certified BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 months of hire date.

Graduate of an approved professional (RN) nursing program.

Preferred QualificationsExperience in acute care or a related clinical setting.

Familiarity with electronic health record systems.
