A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

Job Description

This position currently offers a $5,000 Signing/Retention Bonus to eligible new hires. Please visit the Michigan Veteran Homes YouTube channel for an inside look at MVH facilities and our members: MVH YouTube Channel . Responsible for the direct care of members on one or more nursing units, including medication pass and treatments. Conducts comprehensive assessments of members needs and coordinates the long-term planning of care for a specific member case load. Monitors and directs LPNs and care givers in providing delegated nursing activities as needed.
  • This position is Test-Designated and will be subject to random drug testing
