Job Description
Friendly, dependable, and like staying busy? We'd love to have you on our team. We're looking for a Retail Cashier who enjoys working with people and takes pride in providing great customer service. You'll be one of the first faces our customers see, helping create a positive experience while keeping daily store operations running smoothly. This role is more than working the register—you'll help stock merchandise, receive deliveries, keep the store clean and organized, and pitch in wherever needed to keep things moving. What You'll Do Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service. Process purchases accurately and efficiently using the cash register. Handle cash, credit card, and other transactions and maintain an accurate register drawer. Stock shelves and coolers and keep merchandise organized and ready for customers. Receive vendor deliveries, scan products, and assist with pricing merchandise. Keep the register area, coffee and snack areas, coolers, restrooms, storage areas, and other assigned spaces clean and organized. Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory counts. Verify identification for age-restricted purchases and follow applicable Tribal and State requirements. Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Communicate customer concerns or service issues to management when needed. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is reliable, friendly, comfortable working with the public, and willing to jump in where needed. If you enjoy a fast-paced environment and like a job that keeps you moving, you may be a great fit. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous cashier, retail, or customer service experience preferred, but not required. Comfortable handling cash and completing basic math accurately. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to remain professional and helpful when handling busy periods or challenging customer situations. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to work extended or varying hours when needed. Ability to perform an active job involving standing, walking, bending, reaching, stocking, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Must comply with the Sault Tribe's Drug-Free Workplace Policy, which may include random drug testing. Native American preference applies. Why Join Us?
