1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a Nights position requiring an active MI license, PCU floating experience, and telemetry proficiency. Details Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting Required to float between Med Surg and PCU 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Every other weekend requirement No call responsibilities 13-week assignment Requirements Active Michigan (MI) RN license required, no compact license accepted BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required Minimum 2+ years of Med Surg experience required Experience floating to PCU required Proficient with telemetry monitoring Must be able to read and interpret heart rhythms Must pass a dysrhythmia test prior to working on the floor Skills checklist current within 1 year pertinent to Med Surg/Tele specialty required for consideration 2 supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years required for consideration Active Michigan license verification via LARA and/or Nursys required for consideration Covid vaccine required, exemptions allowed Additional Information Deliver direct patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation under supervision of unit leadership Develop and update individualized care plans within required timeframes Provide patient and family education on condition, medications, and self-care Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and case management for discharge planning Maintain compliance with infection control, medication administration, and safety protocols Participate in ongoing education and unit-wide performance improvement initiatives No more than 5 days of RTO can be requested during the assignment
