Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Room (ER) team. This vital role involves providing immediate, high-quality nursing care to patients experiencing acute medical conditions, trauma, or emergencies. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise, including critical care experience and proficiency with advanced medical systems such as Epic, Cerner, and EMR/EHR platforms.

Pay Rate:

$2239/wk. for 36hours. Duties Perform comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to determine urgency and prioritize care. Administer medications and injections accurately, including IV infusions and sedation, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques and safety protocols. Manage airway patency using ventilators and assist with advanced procedures such as intubation or catheterization when necessary. Coordinate diagnostic evaluations including laboratory testing, radiology procedures like CT scans, and specimen collection for accurate diagnosis. Provide acute pain management and implement trauma medicine protocols for patients with severe injuries or critical conditions. Document all patient interactions thoroughly within electronic health records (EHR/Epic/Cerner), maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, specialists in infectious disease care, cardiology, geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, and other departments to ensure comprehensive patient care. Lead triage efforts to rapidly identify high-acuity cases requiring immediate intervention in a Level I or Level II trauma center setting. Support patients with complex needs such as those requiring dialysis, hospice & palliative medicine services, or long-term care planning. Educate patients and families about treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care to promote recovery and safety. Qualifications Valid RN license with current registration in the applicable state or jurisdiction. Minimum of two years of emergency room experience in a high-volume hospital setting; Level I or Level II trauma center experience preferred. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or similar platforms. Demonstrated expertise in critical care procedures including airway management, IV insertion, suturing, and infection control practices. Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities. Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for procedures performed in the ER setting. Strong understanding of physiology principles related to acute care scenarios and trauma response protocols. Excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to remain calm under pressure during emergency response situations. Additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Procedures are highly desirable.
