Job Description

Position Summary:
The Staffing Coordinator ensures appropriate nursing staff are scheduled to meet resident care needs and regulatory requirements. This role manages the clinical master schedule, tracks attendance, oversees agency usage, and provides clerical support to the Nursing Department. ________________________________________________________________________________
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and adjust master staffing schedules based on census and budget. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility staffing regulations. Track and secure coverage for open shifts, vacations, and call-offs. Maintain staffing records, attendance logs, and PBJ reporting. Collaborate with HR/Payroll Coordinator on timekeeping, PTO, and personnel changes. Communicate staffing updates to nursing leadership and facility administration. Monitor and report agency usage and verify hours worked. Support survey readiness by maintaining accurate staffing documentation. ________________________________________________________________________________ Skills & Competencies Organizational and scheduling skills. Knowledge of staffing regulations and PBJ reporting. Proficiency with scheduling and timekeeping software. Communication and problem-solving abilities. ________________________________________________________________________________
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent. Experience with staffing and scheduling in healthcare environment.
Preferred:
Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing setting. ________________________________________________________________________________ Physical & Work Requirements Prolonged sitting with some standing/walking.
