May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

(Download PDF reader) This position assists the Infection Control Supervisor with Infection Control, Environment of Care, Water Management Programs and equipment management in the Hospital Clinic for both the Adult and Child/Adolescent populations. This position serves as an occasional backup for the Patient Clinic and Occupational Health Nurse. The preferred and appointed candidate will be subject to pre-employment, random, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, return-to-duty and follow-up drug and/or alcohol testing. Required Education and Experience Education Possession of a diploma, associate's, bachelor's, or master's degree in nursing accepted for licensure by the Michigan Board of Nursing. Experience No specific type or amount is required. Additional Requirements and Information Possession of a Michigan license in good standing as a registered nurse. The Department of Corrections will not hire individuals who have been convicted of a felony or who have felony charges pending, in accordance with Public Act 140 of 1996.
