A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

Job Description

About the job : As a Registered Nurse , you will coordinate and provide medical cares for persons served and to ensure that all medical-related services provided are essential to, or helpful in, the promotion, maintenance and restoration of health and well-being of each person served. Starting salary is $93,600 per year. Essential job responsibilities include, but not limited to: Follow proper nursing techniques when giving injections, blood draws, suppositories, catheter changes, wound care, etc. Ensure medications/treatments are properly given/done. Comprehend Individual Risk Management Plan and reporting procedures. Provide medical in-services/training as requested by supervisor. Teach and retrain Medication Administration Program to unlicensed personnel as needed. Provide reliable, prompt and complete information to supervisors. Be available for person served emergency and non-emergency situations and be willing to answer questions by phone concerning health care of persons served.
Qualifications:
Graduate from an accredited nursing program as a Registered Nurse (RN). Currently holds an unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license with the Minnesota State Board of Nursing and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges. Completes required continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements of PCS. Must pass DHS background clearance. Must have valid driver's license and meet company driving criteria. Must be able to read, write, communicate and understand the English language while conducting company business.
