1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a MN RN license and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification. Details Emergency Room unit within an acute care setting Nurse to patient ratio of 1:4, rarely 5 Uses Allscripts, Paragon, and Touchworks EMR systems Day/Night rotating 12-hour shifts Every other weekend requirement, with every 3rd weekend also noted Potential holiday coverage required Floating required to Med Surg unit Unit-specific orientation provided 24/7 in-house and on-call Respiratory Therapy support 24/7 in-house and remote Pharmacy support Hospitalist coverage available No charge nurse responsibilities Nurse aide support available on unit Requirements certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS, and TNCC Active MN RN license required Minimum 2 years of experience required BSN not required for this position Telemetry skills required with basic cardiology knowledge for strip reading Experience with drips required Occasional ventilator management with Respiratory Therapy support Additional Information Provide emergency nursing care in a fast-paced acute care ER setting Collaborate with hospitalists and 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy support teams Unit-specific orientation provided prior to starting
