Key Qualifications:
- Active RN license or Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential required
- Licensed School Nurse (LSN) certificate preferred or willingness to obtain if needed
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly valued
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach with students, families, and staff
- Proficient assessment and clinical decision-making ability
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care and health services to students, including first aid, chronic condition management, and medication administration
- Collaborate with educators, counselors, and families to support student well-being and health plans
- Conduct health screenings and immunization compliance audits
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records in accordance with state regulations
- Educate students and staff on health topics, disease prevention, and wellness initiatives
