Job Description

As we prepare to open our new Kinderberry Hill Excelsior school in January 2027, we are excited to announce an upcoming School Nurse opportunity beginning in December 2026 . This full-time position offers a family-friendly schedule with no evenings, weekends, or holidays . Shifts are scheduled between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday . Our ideal candidate is a compassionate caregiver and strong communicator who enjoys building relationships with children, families, and colleagues. Working in an early childhood setting, the School Nurse plays an important role in supporting the health, safety, and well-being of our school community while enjoying a positive, team-oriented environment. This position may be an excellent fit for nurses seeking a lower-stress setting, those early in their careers, experienced professionals looking for a change of pace, or individuals seeking a schedule that aligns well with family life.

This position is based within an early childhood education center and does not follow the same compensation structure as nursing roles in clinical or hospital settings.

Responsibilities include:
Overseeing the daily health and wellness of the children in our care. Monitoring children's allergies, medications and immunization records. Providing resources and support to families and staff- including new parents. Keeping excellent records Maintaining a clean and safe school environment. Supporting school management team in the day-to-day operations of the school.
We are looking for candidates:
who are well-versed in common infant and childhood health issues and illnesses. who are self-motivated and flexible. who have exceptional verbal and written communication as well as organizational skills. who enjoy collaborating and continuously improving the quality of care.
Qualifications:
Must pass the Applicant Background Study required by the Department of Human Services. Must have documentation of U.S. Citizenship or eligibility to work in the U.S. Must have an active LPN or RN license. Must have daytime availability from the hours of 7am to 6pm, Monday through Friday. Please note that this role is based in a childcare center and does not follow the same compensation structure as nursing positions in clinical or hospital settings. This position starts at $26.00-$27.00 and is based on experience and category of license.
