Lionheart Wellness & Recovery Hastings, MN | In Person $42-$50/hour | Consistent Part-Time Schedule | Opportunity to Grow into Full-Time Lionheart Wellness & Recovery is seeking a compassionate, dependable Registered Nurse to help clients address their health needs while participating in substance use disorder treatment. Your work will center on intake health assessments, weekly individual nursing sessions for clients with identified health needs, and a weekly health-focused psychoeducation group. As Lionheart pursues the medical services enhancement for our Minnesota 245G program, this position offers an opportunity to help develop nursing services that connect physical health, mental health, and recovery. What You'll Do You will help clients understand their health concerns, identify next steps, and build habits that support recovery.

Responsibilities include:

Complete intake nursing health assessments, including health history, current concerns, medications, and relevant health risks. Identify needs for ongoing nursing support, medical evaluation, and referrals. Meet individually each week with clients who have identified health needs to provide nursing follow-up, education, and support. Develop individualized nursing goals and interventions in collaboration with clients and the treatment team. Provide individual psychoeducation tailored to each client's needs, readiness, and understanding. Plan and facilitate a weekly health-focused psychoeducation group. Teach topics such as sleep, nutrition, stress and physical health, chronic condition management, medication safety, infectious disease prevention, overdose prevention, and the effects of substance use on the body. Help clients understand prescribed medications and communicate questions or concerns to their prescribers. Coordinate with primary care providers, pharmacies, behavioral health providers, and other supports as appropriate and with required consent. Participate in team discussions and contribute relevant health information to treatment and discharge planning. Document assessments, services, client responses, and follow-up needs accurately and promptly. Recognize changes in health status and follow program procedures for urgent concerns and medical referrals. Help leadership develop nursing workflows, health education materials, and documentation practices as medical services expand. All nursing services will be provided within the RN scope of practice and Lionheart's policies. We're looking for someone who can listen without judgment, notice barriers to care, and turn health recommendations into manageable steps clients can use in everyday life. Who We're Looking For Required Current Minnesota Registered Nurse license in good standing. Must be able to pass a MN DHS background study or qualify for a set - aside. Strong nursing assessment skills and sound clinical judgment. Ability to provide clear, practical health education individually and in groups. Comfort supporting people with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health needs. Strong organization, communication, and clinical documentation skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the treatment team. Respect for client privacy, autonomy, and diverse backgrounds. Ability to meet applicable DHS background study and employment requirements. Availability to work in person in Hastings, Minnesota. Preferred Experience in substance use treatment, psychiatric nursing, outpatient care, or community health. Familiarity with Minnesota 245G treatment programs. Experience leading health education or psychoeducation groups. Experience supporting clients with chronic conditions and barriers to accessing health care. Familiarity with trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and medications for substance use disorders. Experience working with adults and adolescents. Interest in developing nursing services within a growing treatment program. A Schedule That Can Fit Your Life This position begins as part-time, with a consistent weekly schedule developed around client needs and the selected candidate's availability. The schedule will include time for intake assessments, weekly individual appointments, a weekly psychoeducation group, care coordination, and documentation. Weekly hours and workdays will be discussed during the interview process. As participation in the program increases, there may be an opportunity to add hours and transition to full-time employment. Compensation $42-$50 per hour Starting pay will reflect nursing experience, relevant substance use or behavioral health experience, assessment and group education skills, and overall qualifications.
