Job Description

Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic educational environment providing high-quality care as a School Registered Nurse on a contract basis near Houston, MN. Your clinical skills and compassion will contribute directly to student health, safety, and academic success. Candidates with a strong background in school nursing or pediatric clinical care will excel. You'll serve as a vital resource for students, staff, and families, promoting wellness and managing health needs throughout the school day.
Key Qualifications:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Minnesota Experience in a school setting or pediatric care preferred Familiarity with individualized healthcare plans (IHPs) and emergency protocols Proficient in health assessments, medication administration, and documentation Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams Compassionate, flexible, and able to respond calmly in urgent situations
Primary Responsibilities:
Assess student health needs and deliver nursing interventions as appropriate Develop, implement, and monitor individualized healthcare plans Administer prescription and over-the-counter medications, following physician orders and district policies Document health services provided and maintain accurate, confidential records Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care or first aid Educate students and staff on health, hygiene, and disease prevention Serve as a liaison between healthcare providers, families, and school personnel This contract opportunity lets you make a true difference while enjoying the energy of a school community.
