1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced PACU RN for a Level I Trauma center, requiring PACU and critical care experience along with pediatric and geriatric patient population experience. Details Work in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) of a Level I Trauma center that also serves as a Level II pediatric trauma center and Level
III NICU
Cares for pediatric and geriatric patient populations Uses Epic EMR Rotating 8-hour shifts including 0700-1530, 0900-1730, 1100-1930, and 1500-2330 Required to work every 3rd weekend No on-call requirements Does not accept compact license Requirements Active MN RN license required Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA or ARC) Minimum 2 years of critical care experience (ICU/ED) required Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required Previous travel nursing experience required Epic EMR experience required Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms required Experience with pediatric and geriatric patient populations required Level I Trauma experience required Skills checklist current within 1 year pertinent to the specialty required for consideration 2 supervisory references with dates of employment required for consideration Additional Information Provide holistic nursing care across the lifecycle from neonates to older adults Perform assessment, nursing diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation per Standards of Nursing Practice Develop and revise care plans, coordinate care among disciplines, and delegate activities as appropriate Royal blue scrubs required as dress code MN DHS Net Study & Fingerprinting required for all patient-facing positions Strict compliance deadline of 4pm the Wednesday before start date with no exceptions Candidates with a permanent address within a 35-mile radius are considered local travelers with adjusted pay rate All RTO requests must be submitted at time of application and may not be honored after submittal Clinicians must disclose any prior work history with this health system on their resume
