Company Overview New Challenges, Inc. is dedicated to providing services to adults with disabilities, mental illness, and brain injuries in residential settings the south and east metro area of the Twin Cities. Our team is committed to delivering compassionate, person-centered care that promotes independence and well-being. Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled part-time (10-20 hours per week) Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in clinical or homecare nursing, with experience in diverse care settings including long-term care, community residential services and assisted living. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care, performing assessments, providing employee training, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the safety and comfort of our persons served. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to inform individualized care plans. Administer medications accurately using various methods such as injections while adhering to HIPAA regulations and safety protocols. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals Provide in person education in classroom settings, one to one or in small groups, on health coaching topics including medication management, nutrition, and chronic disease management tailored for diverse populations including individuals with disabilities. Provide assistance in emergency situations as the arise. Skills Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology essential for effective patient assessment and diagnostic evaluation. Experience working with individuals with disabilities in settings like memory care or residential settings. Excellent communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to patient-centered care. All applicants must have current RN licensure, pass a background study and driving record review. Pay:
$38.00 - $42.00 per hour
