Range for 2 year degree $29.29•45.40 Range for 4 year degree $30.30•46.97
Essential Functions:
Coordinating with physicians and other healthcare professionals for creating and evaluating customized care plans. Maintaining reports of patients' medical histories, and monitoring changes in their condition. Carrying out the requisite treatments and medications. Changing patient's medication as indicated by their conditions and responses. Maintaining hygienic and safe working environment in compliance with the healthcare procedures. Providing instant care during medical emergencies. Discussing treatment with pharmacists and physicians in the critical cases. Providing necessary guidance on health maintenance and disease prevention. Preparing patients for examinations. Educating patient's families about the disease and its treatment. Assisting doctors during surgery. Attending educational workshops for enhancing professional and technical knowledge. Performing lab work and giving complete information to the physician about patient's condition during anesthesia. Recommending drugs and other forms of treatment, like inhalation therapy, physical therapy, etc.
Skills Abilities:
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels. Ability to complete competency CPR and First Aid. Ability to perform simple mathematical equations. Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously. Effective oral and written communication skills.
Working Conditions:
Possible exposure to inside environmental conditions. Exposure to distressed patients, families or visitors.
Physical Demands:
Requires standing, sitting or walking for up to 8 hours or longer per day. The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associates in Nursing, or has graduated from an accredited and approved nursing program. High school graduate or equivalent. Current certification/license in the State of Missouri. Class B Basic Life Support (CPR) within 90 days of employment and renewed biannually.
Preferred Qualifications:
One year of general, or Skilled Nursing preferred.
