Our OBGYN Clinic is searching for an outgoing, compassionate, professional OBGYN Nurse Navigator (RN) to join us on our journey to becoming the best we can be. As an OBGYN Nurse Navigator, you will be responsible for assuring a smooth and orderly admission process, streamlining the patient experience by completing the necessary assessments and medical documentation. You will work closely with the Women & Children's Service Line Director, FBC Lead nurse, and lactation consultants for patient care, as well as the OBGYN Manager and receptionist for triage scheduling. You will also be the liaison for education throughout pregnancy and postpartum. Duties include obtaining, reading, and comprehending physician orders, faxing, emailing, and interacting with patients, clinicians and doctors. You will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of care which will ensure patient health, safety, and welfare in accordance with professional standards of practice through physician orders, agency policies, and procedures, and federal, state, and local guidelines.
Qualifications:
BSN or working toward a BSN. Missouri Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required. Minimum of 1-year experience working in a healthcare facility, preferably in an OB/GYN setting. Knowledge of CPT coding, lab-specific order sets, and Meditech/Cerner EMR is beneficial. Electronic record system experience required. Organized and Dependable. Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent computer skills. An annual influenza vaccine is required. Additional certifications may be required for this position and will be coordinated by Lake Regional as a part of your ongoing training and development.
