Job Description

Job Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Part-Time Community Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in caring for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, comprehensive nursing care within community and residential settings, promoting health, safety, and independence for your clients. Your expertise will help coordinate services, monitor health status, and support clients in achieving their personal health goals. SCOPE OF WORK
Provide medical oversight for all consumers Educate and train direct support staff on reporting of symptoms, observations to document, and variations from normal consumer behavior Identify issues that require delegations and perform such delegations on a schedule as agreed to by Steadfast Director and Director of Nursing Perform monthly RN visits for all consumers on caseload and document appropriately Perform additional RN visits for any consumers where required Maintain professional RN license in good standing Ensure all necessary requirements are completed and documented for all consumers including annual physicals, dental exams, labs, immunizations, and any other required tests or exams/treatments in accordance with consumer records and requirements. Ensure that this documentation of a consumer's medical oversight is recorded accurately and timely in THERAP and Missouri Health Risk Screening tool (HRST). Maintain medication records regularly for staff to document after administration of all medications as well as maintaining new and refill of all prescription orders, delivery of medications, and documentation and storage. Review home MAR documentation and report any negative variances. Maintain professional relationships with partner agencies, pharmacies, physician office staff, case managers, etc. Work with Director of Nursing to coordinate all medical care for persons supported by Steadfast. Report all changes to Director of Nursing that may require follow up with pharmacy and/or physicians and medical specialists. Meet weekly with Director of Nursing to review medical oversight of people on caseload. Perform any other unlisted duties related to the well being of the person supported as requested by Steadfast Director or Director of Nursing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Community RN will have a desire to support consumers with developmental disabilities in a residential setting, a sincere interest in the people to be supported and their well-being, an open-minded and flexible personality, the ability to be a good listener, and the ability to gently and positively divert individuals from problematic behaviors without being dictatorial and in accordance to their individual support plan. Community RNs will posess a Registered Nursing license and submit to a background check through DHSS Family Care Registry. Pay:
$35.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 20.0 per week
