Make a meaningful difference each day working one-on-one with students who require skilled nursing care in schools near Saint Charles, MO. This contract position is perfect for compassionate RN or LPN professionals looking to empower students with significant medical and mobility needs. Each assignment is short-term (2-3 months) with the potential to extend, committed to just one school site at a time.
What you bring:
Current, active MO RN or LPN license Valid CPR/BLS certification Familiarity with seizure protocols, medication administration, G-tube management, and basic EMS Prior experience supporting students with complex healthcare needs is highly regarded Ability to manage bus rides, personal care (including 2-person assists), and non-ambulatory clients Must be comfortable completing time-sensitive credentialing, including drug screen and fingerprinting Willingness to complete online seizure disorder training and review district documentation Candidates who have previously interacted with the district should provide details on prior application outcomes No pregnant caregivers (per assignment requirements) Your responsibilities: Deliver attentive one-on-one nursing to children and youth (ages 5-19) during the school day, including wheelchair mobility and full personal care Monitor, assess, and respond promptly to medical emergencies, seizures, and shunt functions Administer medications, manage G-tube feedings, and follow individualized healthcare plans Accompany students on bus transportation, ensuring safety and care throughout the route Document interventions and collaborate with educational and clinical teams Take on a role that is both challenging and deeply rewardingknowing that your expertise helps students access education safely and confidently.
