A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. Current, active RN license in good standing Minimum 1 year recent Med-Surg Oncology experience required BLS certification (additional oncology/chemotherapy certification preferred) Strong assessment, organizational, and communication skills Adaptability to rapidly changing patient care environments Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systemsResponsibilities:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients undergoing medical and surgical treatments Administer medications, chemotherapy, and blood products as prescribed Monitor patients and promptly report changes in condition Participate in patient and family education Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate optimal patient care Document care accurately and efficiently using EMR systemsBenefits and Perks:
