Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Experienced Nurses:
Up to $10,000 New Graduate Nurses (less than 1 year of experience): Up to $5,000 About the Unit - Med Surg 5E Med Surg 5E cares for adult medical patients with diagnoses such as small bowel obstructions, respiratory infections, cellulitis, diverticulitis, and pneumonia. This unit provides an excellent environment to strengthen core Med Surg skills, enhance assessment abilities, and manage patients with diverse medical needs. Overview Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following: Associate Degree in Nursing Nursing Diploma Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)Licensure:
Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.Experience:
Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.Certifications:
Required:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.Preferred Qualifications Education:

Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferredExperience:
