Duties and Respnsibilities:
This position requires a complete understanding of the MDS/PPS rules and regulations as described in the RAI Manual, including PDPM/RUG, coding, CAA's, RAP's, Care Planning, Electronic submission and scheduling, etc. The MDS Coordinator is responsible for the timely and accurate completion of the Federal and State assessment tools. The MDS Coordinator must provide nursing care as needed, following company policies and procedures. Attends meetings as assigned. Participates in the QA process/meetings. Coordinates the IDT to accomplish timely completion of the MDS/RAPs/CAA's. Ensures Care planning process is completed accurately and timely. Trains ADL documentation and monitors for completion. Maintains the safety and well-being of the residents. This position is M-F, 8am-430pm; with weekend on call rotation.
