Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), where your expertise will directly impact patient care and well-being. You will be responsible for delivering compassionate, high-quality nursing care, ensuring patient safety, and supporting recovery and health maintenance. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories. Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and other treatments following established protocols and safety standards. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth to document patient care accurately and efficiently. Manage complex cases involving acute pain management, infectious disease care, dementia and Alzheimer's care, and hospice services. Assist with diagnostic evaluations including specimen collection, processing, and medical imaging procedures. Provide specialized care for individuals with developmental disabilities, memory impairments, or requiring long-term care such as assisted living or nursing home environments. Support airway management, ventilator use, catheterization, sterile techniques, and wound suturing as needed for patient stabilization and recovery. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in hospital settings like Level I trauma centers or PICUs to deliver urgent and emergency care. Educate patients and families on health coaching, discharge planning, medication administration, and post-acute care strategies. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain meticulous medical documentation to uphold privacy standards. Skills Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, or Athenahealth for seamless documentation. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology essential for accurate patient assessment and treatment planning. Experience in critical care environments such as ICU or Level II trauma centers; familiarity with
ICD-9/10
coding is advantageous. Skilled in IV insertion, phlebotomy, venipuncture, catheter care, and sterile processing techniques. Ability to perform physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations confidently across various specialties including pediatrics, geriatrics, emergency medicine, internal medicine, and cardiology. Exceptional communication skills for triage assessments and working effectively with patients of all ages—including children with special needs—and their families. Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques to prevent hospital-acquired infections. Capable of managing complex cases involving pain management strategies such as dermal fillers or botulinum toxin treatments when applicable. Familiarity with medical imaging procedures like sonography or spinal taps; experience in home & community care settings is a plus. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments such as urgent care clinics or outpatient facilities while maintaining attention to detail.
