Job Description
Qualifications:
Active NC or Compact RN license at time of submission Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS Proficiency with EPIC electronic charting system Stepdown unit experience required Not open to first-time travelers; prior travel experience neededSchedule:
3x12-hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:30) Every other weekend required No on-call responsibilitiesResponsibilities:
Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to adult stepdown patients with diverse and complex needs Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient-centered care Respond rapidly and appropriately to emergencies and changes in patient conditions Document patient assessments, medication administration, and care interventions in EPIC Monitor vital signs, conduct thorough patient assessments, and manage medical equipment Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions Maintain safe nurse-to-patient ratios (1:4) for optimal clinical outcomesBenefits:
