Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Stepdown Job Type Contract Experienced Registered Nurses are needed for a contract position in a dynamic stepdown unit. This role is ideal for skilled professionals with a strong clinical background in acute care settings, specifically stepdown environments. Gain exposure to complex patient cases while working alongside a multidisciplinary team committed to outstanding patient care.
Schedule/Hours:
36 hours per week
Key Qualifications:
Current and valid RN license At least one year of recent experience in a stepdown or progressive care unit Proficiency with monitoring, assessment, and titration of critical medications Excellent critical thinking and clinical judgment skills Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems BLS and ACLS certifications required
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver high quality nursing care for post-ICU and high-acuity patients Monitor vital signs and respond promptly to changes in patient condition Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and allied health professionals Provide detailed patient status updates and education to patients and families Maintain accurate, timely documentation
