Category Nursing - RN-Stepdown Job Type Contract Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide care in a stepdown unit. This contract opportunity is ideal for clinicians passionate about intermediate-level patient care and excellence in nursing practice. Working alongside a dedicated interdisciplinary team, you'll play a critical role supporting patients transitioning from intensive care to general medical-surgical floors.
Key Qualifications:
Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state Proven experience in stepdown or progressive care settings Current BLS and ACLS certifications Strong assessment and critical thinking skills Familiarity with electronic medical records Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Responsibilities:
Deliver evidence-based care for patients requiring frequent monitoring and advanced interventions in a stepdown unit Perform comprehensive assessments and respond promptly to changing health status Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals for coordinated patient care Educate patients and families on condition management and recovery processes Administer medications, manage IV drips, and perform advanced nursing procedures as appropriate Accurately document patient care activities in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards Benefits of this
