Opportunity:
Seeking a board-certified or board-eligible fellowship-trained Hematology/Oncologist to join our growing Hematology/Oncology program. Applicants should have an interest in both academic and community-based oncology practice. New graduates and Visas are encouraged to apply.
Highlights include:
Close collaboration with the Hematology/Oncology team and direct patient care for Cancer Care locations throughout the eastern region of North Carolina Hospital privileges at a level 1 trauma center, a 974-bed Academic Medical Center Monday-Friday 8am-5pm schedule with shared call Inpatient and outpatient clinical responsibilities including developing treatment plans for new diagnoses in hematology/oncology patients, chemotherapy oversight, supervising advance practice providers on follow-up patients, and participating in tumor board meetings Participation in a 9-hospital system of cancer care with 5 COC accredited sites sharing a common medical record and planned COC Network status in 2020 Close collaboration with the Cancer Care team, including a multidisciplinary team of specialists such as radiation oncologists, surgical oncologists, gynecologic oncologists, neurological oncologists, hematology/oncology fellows, and patient navigators State-of-the-art equipment including a Gamma Knife, Cyber Knife, Truebeam Linear Accelerators, 3D Mammography, 3 MT MRI, Ultrasound, and a full spectrum of radiology services
