Job Description

Smoky Ridge Health & Rehabilitation in Burnsville, NC is seeking a compassionate and skilled Wound Care Nurse to join our dedicated team. In this role, you'll assess and treat residents with wounds, ostomies, tracheostomies, etc. while working closely with our nursing staff to ensure personalized care plans are carried out with the highest quality.

Schedule of Monday-Friday Wound Care Nurse Duties and Responsibilities:
Assessing and monitoring wounds Cleaning and applying clean dressings to wounds Working collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to determine if additional treatments or changes in care are required Educating patients and caretakers on wound care, infection and injury prevention, and pressure ulcer (bed sore) care Documentation in electronic medical record (Point Click Care) and maintain weekly wound grid for reporting Participate in weekly at Risk meeting Working with provider to obtain orders to expedite wound healing and avoid skin breakdown
Wound Care Nurse Requirements:
RN license is required through North Carolina or compact state Prior experience within a skilled nursing facility is preferred but not required. New grads are welcome to apply.
