Category Nursing - RN - Endoscopy Job Type Contract Take your nursing expertise to the next level in an engaging Endoscopy/GI Lab environment. This contract opportunity places you in a dynamic acute care setting, where advanced technology and collaborative teams support top-quality patient care.
Schedule:
Variable shifts Includes 4 weeknight calls and 3 weekend calls within a 6-week schedule
Qualifications & Experience:
Active RN license in good standing Minimum of 1 year recent experience in Endoscopy or GI Lab nursing Expertise with endoscopic procedures, patient prep, monitoring, and recovery Advanced life support certification (BLS/ACLS) Strong communication and critical thinking skills Ability to respond to emergent situations and participate on-call Adaptable to changing technology and fast-paced environments
Key Responsibilities:
Admit, assess, and prepare patients for GI and Endoscopy procedures Monitor vitals and patient status throughout procedures Administer medications and sedation as ordered Assist physicians during endoscopic interventions Deliver post-procedure care, education, and discharge instructions Maintain accurate records according to facility protocols Uphold infection control, safety standards, and HIPAA compliance Address complications rapidly and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams You will contribute to a facility recognized for its comprehensive care and commitment to excellence.
