What they do
A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

Job Description
Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct initial in-home evaluations for prospective clients and determine appropriateness for admission
- Develop, document, and initiate individualized client Service Plans
- Provide hands-on training to caregivers/PCA's and CNA's
- Conduct onsite supervisory visits for personal care aides, caregivers, and companion services
- Re-evaluate client needs at least quarterly and update Service Plans as appropriate
- Help coordinate care between clients, families, caregivers, physicians, and agency team members
- Communicate changes in a client's medical or mental condition to the appropriate physician and care team
- Provide education and guidance to family and household members assisting with personal care
- Participate in quality assurance reviews and ongoing evaluation of agency services What We're Looking For Our ideal candidate is a confident, organized, people-focused RN who can balance clinical expertise with compassion and excellent communication.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse license through the North Carolina Board of Nursing
- Previous home care experience preferred
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout the assigned NC territory
- Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
- Genuine passion for helping seniors and their families
- High standards of honesty, professionalism, and integrity
- Ability to successfully complete Comfort Keepers training and orientation
- Ability to meet applicable background screening, driving record, reference, and other employment requirements
