Job Overview / Summary We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) - Long-Term Care (LTC) for a 13-week assignment in Danbury, North Carolina. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to geriatric patients in a skilled nursing environment, managing chronic conditions, medications, wounds, respiratory needs, and other complex patient-care requirements.

36 hours Requirements Minimum 2 years of RN experience required. LTAC experience required. Previous skilled nursing/nursing home experience required. PointClickCare experience required. Current BLS certification required. Experience caring for geriatric patients in a long-term care or skilled nursing environment. Strong experience with medication administration, patient assessments, wound care, IV therapy, respiratory care, and enteral feeding. Ability to manage a high patient assignment and prioritize care effectively. Must be available for every-other-weekend coverage. First-time travelers may be considered if they have appropriate skilled nursing experience. Previous charge, teaching hospital, community hospital, and trauma experience are preferred. All RTO must be disclosed before booking; additional RTO after booking is not permitted. Candidate must provide interview availability for the next 72 hours at submission. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to geriatric residents in a skilled nursing environment. Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor for changes in physical and neurological condition. Administer medications including analgesics, antibiotics, anticoagulants, antihypertensives, antihyperglycemics, insulin, antiarrhythmics, and other prescribed therapies. Monitor blood glucose and recognize signs of hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia. Perform blood pressure, peripheral pulse, neurological, respiratory, skin, and cardiovascular assessments. Provide wound care, dressing changes, pressure-ulcer prevention, wound assessment, and other skin-care treatments. Perform pulse/CMS checks and assist patients with mobility and appropriate assistive devices. Manage feeding tubes, gastrostomy tubes, colostomies, and ileostomies. Perform Foley catheter insertion and provide ongoing urinary and incontinence management. Administer IV medications and maintain peripheral IVs as permitted within scope of practice. Perform venipuncture and other required laboratory-related procedures. Provide respiratory care including oxygen administration, pulse oximetry, nebulizer treatments, and BiPAP/CPAP management. Monitor and care for patients with COPD, asthma, pneumonia, diabetes, CVA, dementia, Parkinson's disease, seizure disorders, and other chronic conditions. Follow infection-control, isolation, PPE, universal-precaution, and patient-safety protocols. Monitor intake and output and accurately document all patient-care activities. Perform narcotic counts and maintain medication and specimen labeling accuracy. Assist with admissions, discharges, care plans, patient/family education, and advance directives. Provide appropriate end-of-life and palliative care when required. Respond appropriately to emergencies, falls, changes in patient condition, and other clinical situations. Use lift and transfer devices safely and follow fall-prevention protocols. Communicate patient status and concerns effectively using SBAR . Accurately document patient care using PointClickCare . Collaborate with CNAs, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team to provide safe and effective patient care. Maintain patient dignity, comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the assignment.
