Flight Nurse (RN) - EastCare ECU Health - 3.7 Greenville, NC Job Details Full-time $41.00 - $56.38 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Qualifications PALS Certification BLS Certification Trauma care Research ACLS Certification Basic life support Full Job Description Position Summary Delivers quality patient care, utilizing the nursing process (assessment, implementation, and evaluation) to guide care delivery. Executes, revises and evaluates the ECU Health Medical Center Nursing Professional Practice Model and Model of Care delivery to support professional practice and collaborative partnerships with each other, physicians and members of the healthcare team. Engages in professional growth and development, continuing competence and lifelong learning, quality of care and research to positively affect empirical outcomes. Develops others in the profession.

Participates in a leadership role, in community partnerships and collaborative initiatives such as processional organizations and community outreach programs. Minimum Requirements Associated Degree Nursing (ADN) or higher is required.

Registered Nurse or temporary North Carolina licensure.

Current American Heart Association BLS required.

Clinical experience as part of education.

Meets all the other criteria/requirements as defined by EastCare Policy and Procedure.
AHA ACLS, AHA
PALS, NRP, and a trauma certification must be obtained before the end of orientation.

Must obtain your EMT within 2 years of hire date. One specialty certification for example, CFRN must be obtained within 2 years of hire is required. 3 years of experience
OR 4,000
hours as a RN is required from an ICU or ER setting. Experience as an EastCare Flight Paramedic per department policy may qualify as applicable years of experience.

The ability to treat patients under EastCare protocols is determined by the EastCare Medical Director.

All employees who were employed as a Flight Nurse and weigh no more than 250 pounds before January 1, 2019, are considered grandfathered in terms of weight requirements, and therefore competent to perform their duties and responsibilities.

Any grandfathered employee who vacates their position and later seeks rehire as a Flight Nurse must meet the minimum position requirements existing at the time of rehire.

Eastcare Flight Nurses must meet the following requirements: Pay Range $41.00 - $56.38 Final Compensation will be based on experience. Other Information $30K in

Health About ECU Health EastCare ECU Health EastCare provides critical care air and ground transportation service and is the only medical transport service in the region accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems. There are nine ground units, six mobile ICUs, including one dedicated to childrens transport, and three BLS ambulances. EastCares five air units cover nearly 300,000 miles during more than 3,500 flights every year and are based in Bertie, Craven, Nash, Onslow and Wayne counties.
