Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic Operating Room environment where advanced surgical care meets professional fulfillment. As an experienced RN specializing in the Operating Room, you'll collaborate with a dedicated surgical team in a facility offering excellence in trauma, bariatric, and cardiovascular services. This contract assignment is designed for highly skilled nurses with substantial experience in intraoperative care.
Schedule:
12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM), totaling 36 hours per week Every 4th weekend rotation (coverage may be scheduled shift or on-call) Average of 6 call shifts per 6-week schedule, requiring a 45-minute response time Coverage for 75% of holidays, as scheduled
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of OR RN experience (required) Current and valid RN license BLS (required); CNOR preferred Proficiency in circulating a wide array of specialties: trauma, ortho trauma/total joints, spine, vascular, hearts, GYN, GYN-oncology, robotics, bariatrics, urology, ENT, eyes, pain, plastics, HPB, and general cases Charge RN experience and scrubbing proficiency a plus, especially for night shift contracts Flexibility, motivation, and ability to efficiently manage diverse cases Not accepting first-time travelers
Responsibilities:
Circulate and/or scrub for complex surgical cases in a 19-suite OR unit averaging 50 cases daily Function across multiple surgical specialties with an advanced skill set Meet on-call obligations and provide prompt, high-quality intraoperative patient care Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary staff and maintain a positive OR culture
