Our office is closed on Fridays, NO weekends or holidays ! Infusion or IV experience is required. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.
Provide clinical infusion services:
obtain vital signs, patient assessments prior to the administration of biologic medication, insertion and discontinuation of peripheral intravenous catheter, and medication monitoring. 2. Review diagnostic as well as laboratory data and report abnormal results to treating healthcare provider. 3. Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record. 4. Assist in assessing, preparing, and monitoring drug study patients receiving intravenous and subcutaneous medications. 5. Obtain prior authorizations for treatment and assist with other administrative duties as assigned. This position is 50/50 clinical/administrative.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. North Carolina RN license - unrestricted. 2. Previous nursing experience, infusion/IV experience required. 3. Associates Degree in nursing required. Bachelor's degree desired. 4. BLS and/or ACLS certification required. 5. Above average computer skills required. 6. Must be available for duty during normal work hours: 8 am - 5:00 pm Mon-Thurs. (NO Fridays/weekends!)
PERSONAL QUALITIES
1. Must possess a courteous, caring and professional demeanor at all times. 2. Must possess excellent communications skills and relate well with physicians, mid-level providers, clinical and administrative staff regarding patient care, office procedures, treatment and outcomes. Must be able to follow provider directions. 3. Must be efficient and conscientious in delivering medical care services to patients. 4. A team player. 5. Must be dependable and punctual.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Regular bending and stooping required. 2. Must be able to lift and move an adult patient if necessary 3. Able to stand for extended periods of time.
