Job Description

Category Nursing - RN - IR Job Type Contract Exciting opportunity available for a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in Interventional Radiology (IR) to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic, supportive environment. This contract position offers a regular weekday schedule and collaborative team atmosphere with opportunities to work directly with healthcare leaders.
Schedule:
8-hour day shifts (40 hours per week) Monday through Friday, shifts between 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM (varied 8-hour shifts) Call required every 8 weeks Weekend rotation: every other weekend (EOW) Varying holiday on-call requirements No floating to other units
Key Qualifications:
Active and unencumbered RN license Experience in Interventional Radiology required Advanced clinical skills in critical care or procedural settings preferred BLS and ACLS certifications Excellent critical thinking, organizational, and communication abilities Ability to function efficiently in high-pressure environments Commitment to patient safety and evidence-based practice
Role Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures Assess, monitor, and support patients before, during, and after procedures Administer medications and assist physicians with specialized IR techniques Maintain thorough, accurate clinical documentation Deliver patient education and communicate clearly with healthcare team members Ensure adherence to safety protocols and sterile techniques Participate in on-call and weekend/holiday coverage as scheduled
