A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

Job Description
- Must be able to work a minimum of 8 overtime hours weekly Successful candidates should be able to:
- Provide patient care, assessment and treatment as ordered for residents in a psychiatric residential treatment facility for no more than 12 youths. Respond to the needs of the residents by administering medications, triaging and rendering first aid treatment as needed, assessing patient needs, preparing and maintaining records, charts and reports and providing support to the direct care staff.
- Provide healthy adult role models.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Licensed Registered Nurse plus two years of paid, voluntary or family behavior health experience OR Associate degree required.

- Must be able to work a minimum of 8 overtime hours weekly
- Oral and written communication skills
- Observation and decision-making skills
- Willingness to use personal transportation in work capacity
- Knowledge of substance abuse/addiction issues or related work experience would be beneficial
