Job Description
What We Offer:
Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury is looking for a Registered Nurse in our A2A Post Surgical unit! This 17-bed unit provides care for a diverse patient population, including those recovering from elective surgeries, trauma, and other surgical procedures, with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6. RNs provide comprehensive post-operative care, monitor for complications such as wound infections, manage pain and recovery needs, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team. The unit offers a unique blend of surgical and hospice care, providing nurses with the opportunity to support patients through both recovery and end-of-life care.What we offer:

What We're Looking For:
Education:
4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.Experience:
One year relevant experience, preferred.Licensure/Certification:
Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.What You'll Do:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to post-surgical, trauma, and recovering patients while monitoring their progress and overall condition. Assess patients, administer medications and treatments, manage pain, and monitor for post-operative complications such as infections or changes in condition. Collaborate with physicians, CNAs, therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans. Support patients and families throughout their recovery, including providing compassionate care to patients with complex needs and those transitioning to hospice or end-of-life care.Benefits
