Advantis Medical Staffing seeks a Med Surg Travel Nurse to deliver high-quality inpatient care on short-term assignments across the U.S. In this role, you'll assess and monitor adult patients, administer medications, perform wound and post-op care, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to execute care plans. You'll document in EHR systems, educate patients and families, and support safe discharges. Responsibilities Provide direct Med Surg nursing care to adult inpatients on travel assignments Assess, monitor, and document patient status using EHR systems Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per provider orders Perform wound care, post-operative management, and basic telemetry monitoring Develop and implement individualized care plans with the care team Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and discharge instructions Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary staff to coordinate care Maintain strict infection control and patient safety standards Adapt quickly to new hospital environments, policies, and workflows Communicate effectively with Advantis recruiters and facility leadership Required Skills Acute Med Surg patient care IV therapy and medication administration Wound care and post-operative management Telemetry monitoring basics Care planning and patient education Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation Care coordination and discharge planning Infection prevention and control Time management and prioritization Interdisciplinary team collaboration
